This video from the Detroit Creative Corridor and filmmaker Stephen McGee explores the rich imprint of design on the city’s cultural and physical landscape. It blends time-lapse photography, drone footage, slow-motion and other techniques. It features music from the likes of techno pioneer Derrick May — and I think Lykke Li (?), though she’s not credited — and footage of Slow Roll Detroit, Fort Wayne and the city’s burgeoning collection of murals.
It will definitely make you appreciate what we’ve got here.

So impressive. Need to watch many times to capture all the places and scenes I grew up with.
Thanks for the comment! 🙂
