As the creative force behind Yum Village, Godwin Ihentuge is all about “social discovery through food.” And while he celebrates Detroit’s culinary renaissance, he’s also working to make the city’s food scene more diverse, inclusive and sustainable.
I sat down with Ihentuge for this episode of The Daily Detroit Happy Hour Podcast to talk about Nigerian food, how people of Detroit are craving more ethnic diversity in their eats and about his unique, multi-faceted business venture.
You can find Ihentuge and his Nigerian food truck every Friday and Saturday from 4-10 p.m. at the Villages Biergarten, 1428 Van Dyke.
